Tried out for 4 years straight and didn't make a corps. In my final age out attempt, I got into SCV. That was so amazing - but COVID cancelled that season anyway. My Google storage is still filled to the brim with all of those practice videos back then. Doors definitely opened for me in other places, I just wish a few of them led to marching for a summer or two.

Took me so long to realize this. I kept hearing "quit playing so tense" because I was always trying to PERFECTLY play everything. I chilled out and just let things happen, and magically things started working.
